Africa from the poems by
Korney Chukovsky and warm soviet cartoons seemed a far away country full of
exotic nature, exciting adventures and wonderful dreams.
Most of us grew up in grey and cold stone
jungles. In the struggle with predatory routine and
everyday life, our feelings can often fade or become numb and we dream again of
Africa from our joyful and carefree childhood. This magical Africa is still
here, it lives among us, hiding in the walls, prints of clothes and fragments of
posters. The inhabitants of this mysterious world look back at us from their
own wonderland and wait until we learn to travel again in our imagination.
The professional vision of the street
photographer Olga Titova captures the moments when citizens try to find their
own inner Africa. These photos formed the basis for the “Pride” book and will
be presented at the exhibition. There will be
curatorial tours guided during the exhibition open hours.
The exhibition will close on 24 June when a charitable event to support
homeless animals will take place. The exhibition is intended for the audience
of all ages.
