The interactive multimedia exposition “Walk the path of evolution” is an exciting journey into the past of our beautiful planet. In this natural history labyrinth visitors travel far back in time observing the emergence and gradual development of different species on Earth. Walking the path of evolution, you will know which animals that existed in seas over 400 million years ago managed to survive until our days, what a possible ancestor of birds looked like, what kind of rocks ignite a fire, and which animals were the primary target of the Neanderthals. These and many other interactive tasks will guide you on your exciting way of exploring the incredible universe of life and nature. Traveling through eras and periods (each step is the millions of years of evolution), you will see the largest and the smallest, the most predatory and unusual representatives of their time. There are over 50 life size models of ancient animals and plants in the labyrinth which makes the journey very exciting, entertaining and informative. You can touch the minerals that witnessed the first living organisms on Earth, fossil shells, the imprint of the first bird on Earth Archaeopteryx, the mammoth's tooth and the trilobite. Any visitor regardless their age or residency can become an active explorer of nature.

The entrance area of the interactive multimedia exposition "Walk the path of evolution" reminds of a revealing informative stream of time, taking us hundreds of millions of years ago. A long time ago in the territory known as Moscow oblast, there was a splashing warm sea full of life and all kinds of amazing creatures. Fossil remains of ancient trilobites, placoderms, ammonites, belemnites, sea urchins and sea lilies as well as fossils of an ancient shark and extinct ichthyosaurs can also be found and touched in this area.

A new interactive object was added to the general interior of the multimedia exposition “Walk the path of evolution” in the State Darwin museum. A new exhibit is a huge trunk of an old oak tree with a height of over five and a half meters and three meters in diameter. There is a spiral staircase inside the oak where you can see some of its common inhabitants in wild nature. The sketch for design was created by the Honored Artists of the Russian Federation A.
