At the end
of the forties of the last century the artists of the Moscow factory “Glass
Christmas tree decorations” created a set of miniature glass Christmas tree
decorations “Yolka-Malutka” (Little Christmas tree) to the delight of children.
This small Christmas tree miracle immediately won the hearts of children. Now
it was possible to decorate a toy Christmas tree for your favorite bunnies and
bears, dolls and soldiers just like adults. Now all the toys were able to meet
the New Year holiday with a decorated Christmas tree.
The Yolka-Malutka
set was also loved by adults. It was given and treated as a New Year's gift or
souvenir. The set participated in various exhibitions, including international
ones. So, talented artists of the factory gave a life to a new type of New
Year's decorations.
The exhibition also features other interesting and unique Soviet Christmas decorations from private collections.
