On the most
unusual outdoor exhibition area – the museum roof with the view of the city,
comfortable poufs, bookcrossing area and free Wi-Fi one of the largest exhibition
and the research project of this year “Moscow. Habitat” unfolded. Under the
open sky, away from the bustle of the city you can immerse yourself into
original interpretation of the interaction between living organisms and the big
city which suggested more than 30 participant artists.
From April
30 the art space "Roof" of the State Darwin Museum has been holding
the exhibition "Moscow. Habitat”. The exhibition involves the participance
of more than 30 artists, who have offered the most original interpretations. A
deeper immersion in the topic of interaction between human and nature has been
provided by creative laboratories.
The project
came into being thanks to the collaboration of people from very different
fields. The museum conducts the exhibition together with an independent
creative team dealing with street art:
Studio 7. Visitors will be able to see works exhibited on canvases,
banners, plywood, as well as to enjoy installations, sculpture, hanging figures,
small murals.
At the same
time, not only writers took part in the creation of the exposition, but also
artists working in the traditional manner - ceramists, painters, muralists, sculptors.
That is why on June 17 “classic” island will appear inside the open “street”
exposition space of the exhibition, which will present paintings, as well as
small sculptural forms created by the project participants.
For a more
comfortable acquaintance with the content the exhibition space is divided into
parts - water, air, earth and human. Passing through them with the help of QR
codes you can hear the voices of artists talking about their work, as well as
join the scientific component and attend lectures and excursions that the
artists visited during the creative laboratory.
The
parallel program of the project includes master-classes, live drawing, lectures
on art, concerts for visitors of all ages - children, youth, adults.
