Our country became a host of the
21st FIFA World Cup. The Darwin Museum dedicated a contest named “A
ball in the game” to this important event. The sports topic was significantly
broadened because a ball is played not only in football. There are many
varieties of ball sports or ball games, including baseball, badminton,
basketball, bowling, polo, tennis, volleyball, water polo, golf and many
others. Of course, many animals enjoy playing similar games of their own or the
games that they are taught by people.
Several hundreds of photographers, both amateurs
and professionals, competed for the main prize of the competition - a new
ultra-thin and mobile graphics tablet G640 provided by the XP-PEN company.
Chairman of the professional jury: Honorary member
of the Russian Academy of Arts, head of the art-photo section at the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, Maksim Kireev. Other members of the jury
were such talented and remarkable photographers as Sergey Saveliev, Aleksey
Philonenko, Serge Golovach, Olga Kazantseva, Lisa Eshva and the photographers
of the Darwin museum, Maria Tikhonova and Peter Bogomazov.
